She has worked at several leading academic hospitals in South Africa, including Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, Helen Joseph Hospital, and Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital, as well as in private healthcare settings. Since June 2023, she has been an esteemed member of the AAR Hospital medical team. Dr Mmusi specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatological conditions, with particular expertise in managing Rheumatoid Arthritis, gout, osteoarthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), and other connective tissue diseases.
